In 1983 hardcore punk was still young and fresh. SST (Solid State Tuners) was a record label putting out some of the most exciting, intense, and original rock'n'roll on the planet.
This is a compilation of tracks from some of SST's earliest releases. Containing at least one track from every band they'd released at this point except for The Dicks and The Subhmans. Included are Minutemen, Meat Puppets, Saccharine Trust , Black Flag, Overkill, Stains, Wurm, and Husker DU (and this is coming from the label that would later put out stuff by Bad Brains, Sonic Youth, etc)
