After 25 years, The Get Up Kids' classic second album, Something To Write Home About, is still recognizable as the same electrifying, scrappy record it was upon release, but has evolved over time into one of the band's most iconic recordings. In honor of the album's 25th anniversary, Polyvinyl Records announces a special deluxe reissue. The album has been meticulously restored from the original tapes and will be enhanced with a host of bonus materials, including rare demos of several songs from the album, as well as never-before-released rarities from the era. Released in September 1999, Something To Write Home About was an important rock 'n' roll document of the turn of the millennium; combining power pop, alternative rock, and punk, it set the parameters for the second wave of Midwestern-oriented emo.
