Selena’s iconic Amor Prohibido is set to be re-released for a special 30th anniversary edition, both digitally and in physical formats. The 1994 album represented a significant milestone for Selena, as Amor Prohibido was the first Tejano album in history to reach No.1 on the Top Latin Albums chart. The album includes the iconic hits “Amor Prohibido,” “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom,” “No Me Queda Más,” and more. A special commemorative 30th-anniversary artwork was created for the physical music products. The album arrived a year before Selena’s posthumously released smash hit Dreaming Of You. The album featured songs in the English language and was conceived to establish the young “Queen of Tejano” music—who by 23 was a Latina icon—as a star in the mainstream American market.
